Anybody flying Memorial weekend? I will have that weekend off from work and will probably take my Sabre Trike out to Propwash for some taxi runs and engine check.

Our next event is May 19th. We will have a fly-out to Hicks airfield for brunch. (T67) Pilots should plan on a 10am. departure from Propwash. If you have an empty airplane seat or are going to drive there and would like some company, please post it on our website. Blue Skies………..

My son (16) has expressed an interest in learning to fly!  He is from the U-Tube generation, and will probably learn the best from something like the Sporty’s DVD training course.  (not studying textbooks like I like to do…).  Anyway, it would appear that the King series may be a little better info wise, but the Sporty’s are more “entertaining”, and I want this to be fun for him.  I know he can get the online Rec Pilot course free from Next Step from the EAA, but I’m willing to spring for the full private pilot set on DVD.

Does anybody have such a set to sell?  Any comments good or bad or other suggestions?

I think that Gov. Perry should give us an award for ending the drought in Texas! There is rain and storms forecast from now till Sunday. Also, it’s race weekend at TMS. Taking all that into consideration, it has been decided to postpone our April event till the 21st. If you have any questions, please contact me. Blue Skies?

After 2 weeks of crummy WX, we decided to give up and just wait till March. See you all then. Blue Skies…..

The forecast for this Saturday morning is 31′ and winds of 10-20kts. No bueno! We will try again on Feb. 18th.

Dimensions are about 18′ long and 1′ wide folded up. Would not take up much room, could be store against the wall of a hanger out of the way.  It is sitting in my garage right now. Would only need storage for the wing. I can store  my Sabre 340 Trike in my garage and can transport the Trike with my truck, just need a place to store my wing, difficult  to transport the wing back and forth on my truck.
