Well, my dad and I were planning to go to Oshkosh this year until he told me that he could not make it. He told me if I wanted to go, I needed to find a ride.. I am asking to see if any of you are planning to go this year and might have a empty seat. You will not be responsible for me, I would throw in some money for extra gas and pay for all my stuff and bring my own tent etc..  I hope it is not to late.. If you could please help me out, post on here or email me at sethjackson06@yahoo.com . I appreciate  for all who could help.

Happy Flying,

Seth Jackson

The club voted to fly out for our August event. We will fly-out this month to Stephenville. We are planning to depart Propwash around 10:00am Saturday the 14th for a meeting and lunch at the Hard 8 BBQ restaurant at noon.

This week I will “finally” be transporting my weedhopper project to propwash. It’s pretty much done. I’m still down a few bolts, but my hope is that I can bring it out there and meet up with Jeff Mountain to get a few bolts, and have others take a good look at it to make sure everything is in line. The photos below don’t show a whole lot as the airplane doesn’t really look like an airplane without the wings installed.

After months of racking my brain I finally figured out what was slowing down our website so much. I had a plugin installed that did content protection, basically making it impossible for people to copy and paste text from our site to some other place. It was slowing us down a huge amount. It’s now GONE! There really is no need for such a function, who cares if people copy our site.

Anyway, I also updated our website to WordPress 3.0 – You won’t notice the difference unless you are a member and are logged into the administrative back-end of the site. A few things now look different.

Hopefully the increase in speed will help our the website traffic and bring in more people, which equates to more members.

A Weedhopper crashed on Sunday:

Anybody know James Morgan?

Club members,
Per a previous approval by the board at our May meeting, I have finally integrated paypal into the website. The following 2 main functions are now available:
1) New members can fill out their required information, sign up immediately, and make a payment immediately.
2) Current (or less than current) members can RENEW their membership.
To view these new options, simply go to the website, and select the appropriate option from the “club info” drop down menu at the top of the site.
Keep in mind that it is not “required” to use paypal. All parties still have the option to pay by check or cash through the mail or bringing it to a meeting. This simply allows another way to streamline the process.
Email me if you have questions.
