DFW LITE FLYERS MINUTES
July 10th, 2010

Low ceilings and rain showers kept many away last Saturday at our pancake breakfast fly-in. I still have to call it a success. We had quite a few club members and many homeowners from Propwash support this event. It was well organized, equipped, and the food was great! We raised $247.50 and spent about $100! I would like to thank all the volunteers that helped put this together, and Avis for the use of the hangar. Pictures have been posted on the website.

We had some new members join our club. Bruce and Sharon Beard are from Propwash and own a Evektor SportStar. Robert Carson has a Sonex and hangars at NW Regional. Pictures of them and their aircraft are on the website. Please welcome them when you can!

Officer Reports: Alice Hoskins gave a report on our current finances. There were no other reports.

Old Business: Joe Bucemi brought a final draft of the artwork for our new club shirts. It will be posted on the website for review and comments. Jeff Mountain and Tim Gunning are looking for a shirt vendor.

New Business: Tim Gunning is looking into getting non-ethanol fuel in Gainesville. It’s closer than Bowie, and he would be able to purchase fuel there for our members that want it and bring it to Propwash.

August is a fly-out month and Stephenville was chosen for a destination. We are planning to depart Propwash around 10:00am Saturday the 14th for a meeting and lunch at the Hard 8 BBQ restaurant at noon. It was also decided that we would host another pancake breakfast in September. AJ Jones, Jeff Erekson, and Tim Gunning will be the organizers. Details about both events will be posted on the website. Blue Skies……………….
