Grass Airstrip Caught On Fire!
I live on a private airport with my dad called StageCoach Hills Airpark (4TX2). While on my early morning jog along the runway this morning, I noticed that something was wrong on the South End of the runway. I started walking to the South End and I saw black grass everywhere from the end of the south end all the way up to the middle of the runway. I knew that it was not a grass fire because yesterday, it was cloudy and it was not windy.. I told the president of our neighborhood and he called the police so they could investigate it more. Sure enough, this was no incident. Late last night, a tresspasser, lit the runway on fire on purpose. We know this because the police found lighter fluid and a blow torch at the South End of the runway.. The crook was to stupid to take his stuff with him.. They have not found the person who did this yet but I will keep this updated..

Vintage Ultralight DVD
I’m one of the younger ones in our club, but I have an obvious obsession with some of the “vintage” ultralights. By vintage, I mean 1980′s designs (a few from the very late 70′s), some of which are no longer around, most of which are no longer being manufactured by kit. One fellow who shot a lot of early 80′s footage with a Super 8 camera has compiled it all to make what should be a great showcase video of many of the early designs. I haven’t ordered the video yet, but it’s on the wish list. Here is a YouTube trailer of what this whole DVD is made up with:
You can also order your very own copy for a little over $20 with shipping.
